Question of the month
Q: I draw my irons but duck hook my driver. Why?
A: When the ball draws the club face is slightly closed to the swing path.Having more loft on irons giving back spin allows you to close the face too much but get away with only a draw. With a driver, less loft and minimum back spin; when the face is closed you lose all loft so the ball feels only side spin; immediate low hook, a 'duck hook'. Correction? Use more loft, probably your three wood.
